I'm Gaga for Gaga: Lady Gaga Inspired Contest!

I LOVE Lady Gaga's The Fame album. Its been a long time since I've bought a cd I really really like. Almost every song is good; you just want to get up and dance. And I love her look! So stylish and edgy. She's so refreshing to the industry right now, I'm loving it. So in honor of that, I'm throwing a contest! I'm calling it I'm Gaga for Gaga! Create your favorite Lady Gaga inspired look!


How to Enter:
You can go all out in full costume or just do a face, but make sure you put a lot of effort into it. Of course we don't all have platinum blonde hair with bangs, so i don't expect anyone to do her looks exactly, just do your best and have fun. Then take pictures!

My Music, My Makeup: Rihanna - Rehab

So I've been wanting to create a new segment on my blog about my favorite music video looks. So often do we LOVE a look from a music video and wish to replicate it ourselves. This is a chance for you to participate back. Send me any request you have of a favorite look from a music video by email or cbox (located in the right column) post and I'll do my best to replicate it and show you all how you can do it at home!

I've been thinking of a title for a while and finally came up with My Music, My Makeup. It seems appropriate, dontcha think? The Music videos are there for us, to inspire us and give us ideas.

I was getting ready for a photo shoot I had yesterday and I figured this would be a perfect first post for the new segment. Its quick and really simple and you can wear it for a lot of occasions. My first music video look is Rihanna's from the Rehab video. I love that light pink on her lips. And the Justin, but he's not makeup related so lets just move on lol

What I used:

MUFE HD Foundation

Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Onyx

Cargo Black Liquid Liner Pen

Mac Eyeshadows in Vanilla, Woodwinked, and Romp

Mac Lipstick in Angel

Mac Lipstick in Pure Rose

Paint Pot in Indianwood

Lashes

Now when I have more time I'll make a step by step picture post for these entries, but for now this'll have to do!

Steps:

1. Apply your moisturizer and foundation and set it with a matte powder, any will do. I used a MSF in Medium Plus.

2. Apply Indianwood paintpot liberally to your eyelid up to your crease, but no further. Layer your brown shadows to your lid, accentuating your crease. Highlight your brow bone with vanilla eyeshadow.

3. Line your eyes with the liquid liner, making a slight wing. Make sure you get a nice point to the end =) Rim your waterline with the Kajal eyeliner. I love to use this liner as it gives an intense black color.

4. Now for lips. I applied a very thin layer of Angel to my lips to give it a very nice pink base. Then I applied Pure Rose heavily.

5. Lastly apply your falsies and mascara.

Michael Anthony Collection

Hey Everyone!

Things are going well. I just got the pictures from an ad campaign shoot I did in January. I worked with another MUA named Jeremy Dell, he did one half and I did the other. We had so much fun on the shoot, but it was FREEZING!

The designer it was for is Michael Anthony and he is known for his Damaged Denim collection, the new ad just came out so take a look at it here. Click the couture selection.
